Hi! I’m Britney, but you can call me B! I am a birth doula and homeschooling mama to 3 kiddos. My undergrad degree is in wellness, health promotion, and nutrition, but I honestly didn’t start using my degree until becoming a mom, whoops! I now spend most of my days helping other parents with all things birth, boobs, and babies (hence the name), and providing support for those also managing life with children with food allergies, like me. I am also passionate about supporting those on their fertility journeys. Whether that is getting pregnant after struggles or avoiding pregnancy.
On a more personal note, I was blessed to have 3 out of hospital births (2 of which were home births), all with midwives. I did extended breastfeeding with all my babies, and am deeply connected to all things birth. It is my greatest joy to use my experiences and knowledge to help others, and being a birth doula is the way I can honor that with those around me.
I started writing the blog on this site after the sudden loss of my mom a few years ago. That is when I realized writing finally gave me the safe space I was looking for, and hopefully opened up a safe space for you too. I constantly remind myself that we are all struggling with something, and it’s so important to provide space for healing. It reminds me of the saying, “even if they carry it well, doesn’t mean it isn’t heavy.”
My writing has been featured on Her View From Home, Pregnant Chicken and more! You can check them out on the featured on page!
